Reception Supervisor - London
The Langham, London – 5* Forbes hotel is looking for a Reception Supervisor to join our impressive Front Office team. This role will perform shifts as a Shift Leader and also a Rooms Controller. The key duties connected with the Reception Supervisor role are as follows: · Overall supervision of the Reception shift maintaining consistently high standards of customer service and maximisation of rooms revenue · Respond to all customer queries in a polite, friendly and efficient manner. Dealing with complaints within bounds of responsibility and according to hotel procedure, referring to Assistant Manager where necessary keeping them informed of relevant feedback from customers or other departments. · Supervise the Reception team ensuring that an efficient and warm check in and check out is received by them and that all queries or requests are handled in a polite and efficient manner. · Adhere to all departmental and hotel procedures and company brand standards monitoring staff to ensure that guest services are maintained at a consistently high level. · Maximise hotel revenue for all departments by upselling and selling hotel facilities on every occasion, and adhering particularly to hotel credit policies and to predetermined availability controls. · Examine arrivals for special requests and make appropriate room allocations. Show recognition to regular customers and make sure that guests are escorted where possible. Co-ordinate VIP treatment with Assistant Manager, Room Service and Housekeeping. · · Responsible for keeping rebates at low level by checking correct authorisation and justification. Check correct rates have been assigned and guest profiles are properly updated by counterchecking registration cards. Ensure standards of computer input are maintained in accordance with departmental standards and check correct credit authorisation are properly taken and updated.
