Catering Assistant | Wet 'n' Wild

Location: Wet n Wild (Royal Quays, North Shields A)

Contract Type: Casual (July to early September 2019)

Salary: Up to £8.21 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a number of Catering Assistants to work as part of the large operational team within a busy leisure environment, to work as and when required on a Casual basis at weekends and between Monday to Friday when it’s half term.

Wet `n` Wild is the North East`s largest indoor water park. Situated in North Shields, just beside Royal Quays shopping centre, Wet `n` Wild offers 10 exciting thrill rides, a great cafe, mini water park, fully stocked shop and a host of fully trained staff.

Key Purpose of the role?

As part of the catering team you will work together to achieve high standards of service and customer care at all times. The role will ensure food is hygienically prepared and served in accordance with standards laid down by the Catering Supervisor.

Key Duties

• Carry out daily cleaning duties, replenish stocks within the centre including vending machines
• Cleaning, switching off, and securing all equipment after use
• To ensure safe use and security of all equipment and kitchen areas
• To carry out all duties in the kitchen
• Preparation of food and maintain stock levels as required
• Washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
• To carry out other duties that may be required including deep cleans
• Working front of house, serving customers and handling cash
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards and apply the food safety procedures

What are we looking for?

• Experience working in a catering role
• Have a strong work ethic and commitment to customer service
• Excellent team player with good organisation skills
• Experience of cash handling
• Food handling certificates desirable
• Due to having to use fryers, knives etc, you will need to be 18+
