Salary: Casuals £8.21, Regulars £9 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen, as we are currently recruiting for Casual, Part time and Full time Lifeguards to work as part of the large operational team within a busy leisure environment as and when required by the business.

Opened in 1970, Wyndley Leisure Centre is the largest leisure centre of its kind in Birmingham. We've got a swimming pool, a teaching pool, diving boards, 8 lane 400m running track, all weather pitch, sports hall, dance studio, creché and much more.

Key Purpose of the role?

The Lifeguard's role is to work within the centre, ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care at all times.  The role will involve supervision of specific activities including lifeguarding the swimming pools, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and the safe handling and set up of equipment.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working within the leisure environment with the ability to set and achieve high standards of cleanliness and personal presentation as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. You should also have a good awareness of Health & Safety policies and procedures.

It is essential that you hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
