Environmental Breckland are looking for a Grounds person to join the team on a full-time basis.

As a ground’s person, the purpose of your role will include maintaining grounds maintenance facilities in the contract.

On a day to day basis, some of the Grounds Person’s responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

• To carry out programme works as part of the maintenance regime on a daily/weekly/monthly basis with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.
• To undertake duties in any service area of the Grounds Maintenance Contract, e.g. horticultural, grass cutting, cemeteries etc.
• To understand Contract requirements, the specification of all grounds works, the facilities within the various locations and the varying ground conditions within the contract area.
• To regularly report to line manager progress on works and any matters which arise affecting delivery.
• Responsible for the daily inspection and reporting procedure for machinery, prior and on completion of usage, including vehicles.
• To ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are met.
• To undergo specific training to improve skill levels and knowledge of Contract requirements as and when defined training is identified as being required or available.
• To maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly members of the public.

Furthermore, environmental Breckland are looking to hear from candidates who have experience or knowledge of grounds or a similar environment, have a clean driving licence and have strong interpersonal skills.
