We are currently recruiting for a Senior Aquarist (Aquatics Keeper). In this role you will be part of the team to manage and continue to develop our ever evolving amazing. Leading a team of up to 4 Aquarists, you will report into the Displays Supervisor, and work closely with the wider Zoo team. Our successful candidate will be pivotal to managing the entire section, delivering an engaging and immersive guest experience.

We are looking for the following skills and experience;
A proven track record within the fish husbandry field and a good knowledge of plant and life support equipment.
Experience of managing a team would be beneficial or perhaps you are already an experienced Aquarist ready to develop your skills and grow into a bigger role.
A relevant qualification would be useful but more important is a good understanding of our product and a desire to support the team in maintaining the high standards of the displays.
Excellent communication skills, drive and passion are all essential in delivering a wild and adventurous experience at the Chessington Resort.

Due to the nature of the role you must be willing to work weekends, bank holidays and some unsociable hour’s on-call. We would expect you to be able to drive, and to live locally within 20 minutes of the site to support our on-call rota.
