Job Summary

To manage the day to day golf operation across the department. To provide a hospitable environment for all members, visitors and hotel residents. To provide a high level of service to all Golf customers, to ensure that financial targets are attained and that customer satisfaction is achieved. Serve as a liaison between event coordinator and group contact in order to coordinate tournament or group golf events. Maintain lines of communication with golf shop to ensure efficiency of course operations and guest satisfaction. Communicate with the starter, golf services, and golf grounds regarding any changes to the tee sheet. Coordinate with golf grounds on cart rules, course setup, and maintenance practices. Ensure the security of all golf equipment in storage. Provide directions to golfers to golf-related areas. Answer golfer questions about course. Provide emergency first aid as necessary. Maintain cleanliness of golf-related areas. Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services. Order and stock supplies for guests. To contribute to retail policy and stock ordering, to maximize revenue potential. To achieve financial targets set by the DOG.To assist in general shop and service-related duties to ensure functioning of Golf Shop as both retail and service environment.Provide training direction, encouragement, and motivation to golfers. Assist management in training, scheduling, evaluating, and motivating employees; and serve as a departmental role model. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
