Pubs Manager

Based in the heart of Bury, the East Lancashire Railway (ELR) is a lovingly restored heritage railway which is the third largest, standard gauge heritage railway in the UK with over 200,000 visitors annually.

To support the Railway and to enhance our visitor experience, we own and run two pubs, Trackside located at Bury Bolton Street Station and Buffer Stops in Rawtenstall. Both free houses offer a range of fine real ales and award-winning ciders, in addition to serving traditional food sourced locally wherever possible. The combined turnover of both pubs is in excess of £1.1m per annum, with all surpluses generated by the operation being ploughed back into the preservation of the railway for future generations to enjoy.

We’re looking to recruit an experienced Pubs Manager to work with our well-established hospitality team to deliver consistently high standards of customer service and quality beer in both pubs.
