This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the hotel. Your input will have a direct impact the business as we are undergoing a multi-million-pound investment in readiness for the 2020s.

ROLE OVERVIEW

• To help deliver the People & Development strategy in regards to team development, recruitment and engagement.
• Ensure the team is given the best possible service for all their people & development queries
• Ensure good employee relations and positive team engagement practices and assists in performance, capability and conduct issues as required
• Source and advertise for roles and conduct interviews with suitable candidates.
• To help manage all training activities, including statutory training, department standards, on-line learning, development workshops and apprenticeships

The ideal candidate for the People & Development Assistant Manager position should:

• Ideally have previous People & Development experience in a 4 or 5 star hotels

• Experience in delivering group training, apprenticeships and on-line learning management systems
• Have experience in driving employee relations & engagement initiatives
• Experience in recruitment and selection of candidates
• A passion for hospitality and great customer service

OUR HOTEL

Strand Palace is located in the heart of London, with 4-star status by Visit England and consists of 785 guestrooms. Guestrooms range from standard to newly refurbished superior and deluxe rooms. Currently we are undergoing a multi-million-pound refurbishment, transforming all guest rooms and public areas with an estimated completion in April 2020.

All 785 guestrooms are being refurbished and they feature a modern art deco style, providing a fresh and utilitarian aesthetic. Work has just been completed in the hotel’s public areas including a new restaurant and bar Haxells, in a similar style. The hotel attracts a wide demographic, across all ages, for both leisure and business travel, from a variety of domestic and international markets.
