JobSummary

Assistthe Senior Sous Chef in supervising day to day kitchen operations, staff andfood preparation areas including banquets, room service, restaurants,bar/lounge and associate cafeteria to ensure a consistent, high quality foodproduct. Strives to continually improve guest and associate satisfactionwhile maintaining the operating budget.

Prepareingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Washand peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Prepareand cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards,and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods. Operate ovens, stoves,grills, microwaves, and fryers. Test foods to determine if they have beencooked sufficiently. Monitor food quality while preparing food. Set-up andbreak down work station. Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Checkand ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food. Operatekitchen equipment safely and responsibly. Ensure the proper sanitation andcleanliness of surfaces and storage containers.

Previouskitchen experience is a big plus

This rolerequires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting orwalking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance ina clean uniform are also required. Prior to employment, we'll ask you tocomplete safety training and certification.
