MANAGER – PALM COURT

 

The Langham, London is currently looking to recruit a Manager in our Palm Court lounge. The dazzling Palm Court is famed as the place where the tradition of afternoon tea was born over 150 years ago.  All day light dining is served with timeless elegance.  Champagne enthusiasts may indulge their passion by choosing from one of London’s widest list of over 40 champagnes, including some rare and unusual offerings.

 

The Palm Court Manager is responsible for the effective running and organisation of Palm Court, in particular to continue developing Palm Court to its full potential by securing and maintaining guest loyalty and maximising profitability.  Being an integral part of the Food and Beverage Management team, the Palm Court Manager could be subject to cover managerial duties in any of the other Food and Beverage outlets when necessary.

 

As a Manager in Palm Court, your main role will be to –

adopt a strategic approach in achieving business results for Palm Court

demonstrate a real understanding of achieving and maintaining quality through effective service management

develop and deliver on-target KPI results

lead a team that is genuine in delivering service excellence

manage and develop the Palm Court team

support the Departmental Trainer in conducting all on-the-job training for all colleagues to ensure all Company standards are adhered to

Requirement .

The ideal Palm Court Manager will have –

similar high end experience in a luxury 5* environment

a passion in food & beverage

good understanding of the P&L

the ability to lead by example and motivate a strong team

the ability to adapt swiftly and seamlessly to situations that arise

a passion in ensuring a delightful experience for clients and guests alike

great charisma, personality and presence

excellent communication skills and very good level of English
