Kitchen Hygiene Team Member - Solihull

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as a Kitchen Hygiene Team Member. The ideal candidate will primarily be around to support the kitchen operation with deep cleaning tasks being completed, you must have the ability to communicate effectively between your colleagues and with other departments within the hotel. The ideal candidate will need to be able to integrate with our team,  to ensure that all cleanliness and food safety needs are met at all times. 

The main responsibilities of the role are:

• General Kitchen Porter duties including cleaning, washing and scrubbing of cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment.
• Deep cleaning of the full kitchen operation, ensuring ovens and under fridges are cleaned as well as walls and ceilings as directed by the senior chef team in charge. 
• Ensure that all faults are reported to the maintenance team and assist where required in ensuring these are dealt with in a timely manner.  
• Ensure food safety at all times, assisting the chef with stock rotation from fridges and discarding food should be going out of date that day. 
• Ensuring effective cleanliness of staff areas, as well as the staff corridor to the kitchen. 
• Forms part of the FLS safety team overnight, so will be required to assist with any major needs that occur during that time. 

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate that they can multi task effectively, be enthusiastic and positive in their nature and have a willingness to learn.

Shift times will vary between 7.00am-3.00pm or 3.00pm-11.00pm.
