Working Hours: Casual

Salary: £10 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen, as we are looking to recruit Casual Clip 'n' Climb Instructor’s to work weekends, weekday evenings (4pm -8pm) and half terms on our brand new Family Adventure Zone which opened in May.

 

As part of the Swale Leisure Trust, Swallows Leisure Centre is Located in the town centre of Sittingbourne, the whole family can enjoy three swimming pools as well as exciting water features such as the Interactive Pirate Ship, Flume, Waves, Inflatable Slide and Pool Inflatable. We also have a state of the art fitness suite kitted out with the latest equipment, two workout studios offering over 40 classes a week, a crèche and a cafe. Key purpose of role: 

 

The role of the Clip 'n' Climb Instructor is to work within the centre ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care at all times.  The role will involve customer briefings and supervision of climbing activities as well as maintaining high standards of cleanliness, the safe handling and set up of equipment.

 

Qualification level

 

Specific training will be required to carry out this role. You will receive full training during their induction period. All instructors will undergo regular training and assessments in order to demonstrate their competency.

 

Experience level

 

We are looking for the following experience types:

Essential Skills

 

• Ability to remain vigilant, alert and attentive
• Ability to be calm and in control in pressurised situations such as emergencies
• Good Customer care and Communication skills
• The ability to set and achieve high standards of centre cleanliness and presentation
• Health & Safety awareness
• The ability to deal with customers of all age groups and levels of ability
• Sustain a level of fitness to enable the physical aspects of the position to be undertaken

 

In line with company policy, employees will have a DBS check at an appropriate level.
