Activity Centre Manager - Addlestone

Salary: £25,000 (actual salary for term time only working - 36 weeks)

(This salary is inclusive of 4 weeks holiday pay and is based on a FTE of £32,500pa.)

At St George’s Weybridge, a leading independent co-education Roman Catholic day school, we will be marking our 150th Anniversary with a stunningly designed Activity Centre, opening in autumn 2019. This ambitious building provides several flexible and varied environments to cater for many different types of activity now and into the future. It features a 6 court sports hall with a state-of-the-art glass floor, an outstanding strength and conditioning fitness suite, a multi-activity studio, a dedicated dance studio and a café and hospitality zone.

The Activity Centre Manager will be responsible for the effective management and day to day operation of the Activity Centre during school hours and will work collaboratively with the Events and Lettings teams to support them with their external lets out of school hours. The Activity Centre Manager will also provide high level coaching support to the Sports Department, assisting the delivery of the PE & Games Programme.

Working 43 hours per week in term time only (namely 36 weeks a year,) your hours will be worked flexibly under the direction of the Director of Sport and in conjunction with other Activity Centre staff to cover the core hours of 0700-1900 Monday to Friday & 0700-1330 on Saturdays

The successful applicant will have experience of management in a sports or leisure environment and of managing and developing staff. As an inspirational sportsperson, you will have experience of working in schools or of coaching junior sport and possess a sport related degree and coaching qualification (Level 2 or above.) With fantastic interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships, you will be enthusiastic and highly motivated.
