Kitchen Assistant - York

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. This vital role is responsible for preparing and producing food to the highest standard while maintaining excellent food hygiene and Health and Safety practices. You will also play an important part in supporting the Kitchen Manager to maximise profits and reduce wastage at all times.

In order to be a great Kitchen Assistant at YHA we are looking for people with:

• Previous experience of working within a commercial kitchen
• Experience of working in high pressured environments

Additional Information:

Team member required for busy kitchen. Must have experience of high volume kitchens including food preparation, operation of equipment, cleaning and hygiene standards. Some lone working involved plus evenings and weekends on a rotational basis. Hours will be approximately 30 to 40 per week.
