We are looking to recruit qualified Swimming Teachers across various leisure centres within Wiltshire, including Pewsey, Salisbury, Devizes, Durrington and Tidworth. We have permanent variable and casual contracts available, so please select your preferences in your application.

We provide a high standard of coaching within a 50-week Swim school, term time school swimming programme or 1-1 tuition environments.

About the role

The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for teaching safe, fun, effective and enjoyable classes, consistent with standards set out within our normal operating procedures.

Key responsibilities include planning sessions in line within guidance and industry standards with the national plan for teaching swimming or schools' curriculum.

On a weekly basis we need cover for holidays and/or sickness at short notice where required, so we are also looking for casuals that can help out.

Casual Swimming Teachers will also receive a 12.03% holiday plussage on top of the basic hourly rate of £12.60 - £13.64 per hour.

About you

With a level 2 or above ASA swimming teacher qualification or equivalent, you should have experience of teaching children within a leisure environment. Those who do not hold a level 2 or above ASA swimming teacher qualification may be considered for the post as the qualification/full training can be provided.

You will have awareness of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and be able use your excellent communication and organisational skills to maintain customer focus. You will also be responsible for maintaining all relevant qualifications and attending training sessions as part of normal working arrangements.
