About the Pub

We have an exciting opportunity that has just become available for a General Manager.

The White Horse is located just outside Reading in the beautiful suburb of Emmer Green.

The pubs sits opposite the large village green that is popular with all locals so when the sun shines this business is packed!

The pub is a mainstream business that will be developed later this year with a large investment so this business will be ready for the right manager to take it to the next level!

The pub is a one bar operation with different zones for dining, sport & bar area where the locals flock to each day.

The pub benefits from Sky & BT sport so a passion for sport is required & how to maximise the sporting occasions needs to be demonstrated

It also provides an enclosed garden & front seating where locals like to sit and watch the world go by.

This is a local's pub with a strong food trade that we are looking to increase further as there is real scope for this

We are looking for a General Manager with a passion & pride for People, Service & Standards - they must have a proven track record in delivering great customer service, developing their team & have the best standards in the town.

They must be the face of the pub & engage with their locals & really develop this pub & put their own personality on it.

They must be able to drive sales, establish a pub rhythm of the week & have an eye on external activities so they are always one step ahead of the competition.

This is an exciting business to get stuck into, the development will support the GM but a winning mentality & determination to win & be first is a must.
