Cyber Security Analyst / Information Security Analyst


Asda are recruiting for an Information Security Analyst / Cyber Security Analyst with a genuine interest in the technical side of Cyber security. As a Cyber Security Analyst within the ASDA team, you will be working in a fast-paced environment that always throws up surprises. The retail market is constantly evolving and you will be in the middle of it. Reviewing new technologies like AI, virtual reality, robotics and much more. What you’ll be responsible for:Perform risk analysis reviews on systems and solutions identifying security control gaps, the risks they present and defining remediation options.Identify, manage and report on risk with the Cyber Security Manager and the CTO to maintain ASDA’s compliance to standardsWork with a variety of senior technology and business stakeholders to delve into the technical and compliance related details of new and exciting solutionsFulfil service requests and provide cybersecurity support across all cybersecurity domains.Respond to incidents working with customers and SMEs to resolve incidents swiftly utilising the support of Wal-Mart and it’s 600+ strong cyber security workforceTake an on-going, pro-active role to drive the security awareness program for Asda colleagues by delivering regular and relevant updates to colleagues across the Asda estate.Support the delivery and processing of Security Service to ensure that requests are worked and resolved quickly and effusively.Represent Asda in global security forums to keep Asda abreast of global developments as part of Walmart’s cybersecurity family.Deliver all work to the highest standard quality following and driving industry best practice at every opportunity.
About you:
You’ll have a proven track record in a similar role and the skills to fulfil the responsibilities along with a demonstrable knowledge in security technology and how it reduces or eliminates risk in an enterprise. Good working knowledge and experience of security risk analysis for technical solutions combined with an ability to articulate them clearly both verbally and in written form. Good working knowledge of industry-related security frameworks and policies (e.g. PCI, ISO27001, GDPR & SOX). Strong customer focussed attitude with excellent communication and networking (people) skills.
