About the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be a key Resourcing Business Partner advising Retail and Logistics on best recruitment practice. You’ll also be responsible for managing our neutral vend non-permanent staffing partner from both a contractual and governance perspective across Retail, Logistics and all Home Office functions.

Offering a broad array of recruitment responsibility, this high profile role will see you drive forward our attraction plans across Retail, Logistics and Healthcare by working with key senior stakeholders and the wider Resourcing team to execute timely, impactful, ‘on brand’ solutions which support the business strategy and deliver operational goals.

You will be responsible for:

  • Strategic and operational management of our neutral vend non-permanent partner which includes contractual negotiations, management of agency worker compliance and management of performance through monthly and quarterly reviews.
  • Developing recruitment strategies covering a wide range of areas from the impact of Brexit and IR35 to our seasonal non-permanent workforce approach by keeping up to date with the external market and changes to legislation.
  • Ongoing development of recruitment policies and training including educating managers and mitigating risks with our compliance teams.
  • Support recruitment strategy across Retail and Logistics operations including Customer Delivery Drivers, Healthcare, HGV Drivers and Retail and Logistics Management.
  • Business partner with Shared Services teams to ensure delivery of recruitment strategies and identifying enhanced ways of working.
  • Resource planning - work with stakeholders to identify innovative and direct attraction solutions to fill temporary and permanent vacancies, both internally and externally.
  • Managing recruitment specific projects end to end which includes managing multiple stakeholders across different areas of the business.
  • Keeping senior stakeholders regularly updated via updates and presentations at monthly forums

  • About You:

    You will be an experienced self-sufficient recruiter with an ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels, you may already work in an in-house operational role and are looking for your next challenge. A confident leader who will challenge the status quo and bring fresh thinking to improve the end to end candidate experience. The ability to keep calm under pressure and thrive within a complex, fast paced and ambiguous environment is essential. You’ll enjoy working on recruitment strategy whilst also being able to get stuck into the detail of day to day operational challenges.

    The following would also be desirable….
  • Team management experience
  • Good knowledge of employment law particularly around AWR and IR35
  • Experience of managing an outsourcing supplier relationship
  • Knowledge of the Retail and/or Logistics sector
  • Experience of interview design and selection is preferable but not essential
