We are recruiting for: Leisure Professional Apprentices, Customer Relation Advisors, Café Staff, Fitness Class Instructors, Gym Instructors, Team Leaders, and Qualified Lifeguards and Swimming Teachers for a variety of positions at our centre.

The next Recruitment Day will be held as follows: 
Date: SATURDAY 8TH JUNE
Time:  10:00 - 15:00
Location: Ivybridge Leisure Centre

There will be a swim test as part of the Recruitment Day so please don't forget your swim kit!

In order to be considered for our Life-guarding positions, you need to be a strong swimmer with excellent customer service skills. If you are successful at the swim test, you will also have an individual, face-to-face interview. Those individuals that are successful after both stages may be given an offer of employment (if already NPLQ qualified) or will be offered a place on a NPLQ course with a view to possible employment once qualified.

You will also need to meet the following criteria for Lifeguard and Apprenticeship positions: 

• Swim 50 meters on front and back
• Swim 50 meters within 65 seconds 
• Tow a casualty 25 meters within 65 seconds 
• Recover a casualty from the deepest part of the pool 
• Tread water in deep water for 30 seconds 
• Climb out of the pool unaided without using steps or ladder
• Read a sign at the far end of the pool
