Singers

We are looking for strong male and female vocalists, who can dance well. You must be versatile in many types of vocal style and have an incredible ear for harmonies.

Female Vocalists:
G5 belt, comfortable singing many styles

Male Vocalists:
Comfortable belt A5 and a very strong falsetto

Dancers Who Sing / Singers Who Dance

We are seeking performers who are confident in all areas. Females must have a strong pop/rock belt to D and males (baritenors) to an A4 or (tenors) to a C4.

You must be capable of understudying lead vocalist tracks as well as singing backing vocals and performing with the dance ensemble.

All female dancers must be able to perform in heels including turns, leaps and partner work. All male dancers should be of an athletic build and strong all-rounders (should be comfortable shirtless).

Dancers

We are looking for technically trained dancers with a strong background in jazz, ballet, contemporary, commercial, tap and partnering.

All male dancers must have a strong physique and be capable of lifts. All female dancers must be able to perform in heels including turns, leaps and partner work.

All dancers must be fit, and experience in gymnastics, aerial, acrobatics, tumbling and specialty partnering is preferred.

We’re looking for candidates with multiple skills and talents. Musical or specialist dance skills are hugely desired and all ethnicities are encouraged to attend.

On the day

Please be prepared to stay all day and bring a stapled headshot and CV to the audition.

Females should be prepared to dance in heels but also bring jazz shoes/tap shoes/trainers. Males should bring character/jazz shoes/trainers/tap shoes.

Singers, please bring your repertoire book and, where possible, prepare the audition material. An accompanist will be provided at the audition and sheet music in the proper key is required.

Dancers who sing/Singers who dance, please bring your repertoire book as you may be asked to sing the same day.

You must be a minimum of 18 years of age to audition.

About the role

There are 12 performers in each cast, which is made up of two male singers, two female singers, two male singer/dancers, two female singer/dancers, two male dancers and two female dancers.

Our show casts are on ‘performance-related duties only’ contracts and perform 14 shows in the amazing 1,100-seater theatres on board Explorer 1 and Explorer 2, featuring incredible costumes and scenery, and live musicians.

Rehearsal dates

We have positions available for a July or October rehearsal start on board Marella Explorer and Marella Explorer 2.

Rehearsals are approximately three months long and take place in Milton Keynes, a short distance from tedHQ. One week is spent rehearsing each show, which includes a recorded show run at the end of the week.

During the rehearsal period accommodation is provided.

Contract information

These roles are for nine-month contracts on board, plus three months paid rehearsals in the UK.

Accommodation is provided during rehearsals and the food and accommodation is included on the ship.

We have positions available for a July or October rehearsal start on board Marella Explorer and Marella Explorer 2.
