Essence of role / key accountabilities

As a respected member of the Powerleague team working out of the London support office with regular travel to clubs and partner locations, you’ll be tasked with supporting the Marketing Manager with the objective of delivering marketing campaigns that drive new customers and engage existing customers.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager this role has a number of areas of accountability:

  • Support the Marketing Manager to in the delivery of the central marketing plan via all appropriate channels – inc. print, email, social media, website, increasingly moving image, PR, all at a national and club level
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Marketing team
  • Support end to end planning, campaign creative development including presentation of monthly direction to CEO, approvals, delivery and reporting including post campaign reviews
  • Ensure all creative and messaging is consistent across all channels and on brand
  • Where required we have an ambition to create and develop as much as possible in house, but will also need to manage agencies for assets required and creative approvals
  • Work with key stakeholders across the business to drive maximum engagement and revenue and deliver business and marketing objectives
  • Respond to daily, weekly and monthly requests from clubs
  • Work in close collaboration with the wider marketing team and other functions (inc. Operations, People, Property and Finance) to develop a thorough understanding of everything we do including partnerships, events, digital, product as well as campaigns

Output / measure of success

  • Supporting the Marketing Manager in the timely and cost effectives delivery of marketing campaigns
  • Generating positive working relationships across Powerleague including with the rest of the marketing team, Regional Operations Managers and Club Managers
  • Ongoing development and maintenance of guard file capturing best practice and shared learnings that highlight the success and benefits of marketing campaigns over time

Technical / professional expertise

  • A minimum of 2 years marketing experience
  • Demonstrable experience in the execution of effective marketing campaigns
  • Sound understanding of multiple marketing channels and tactics
  • The ability to work well cross functionally and in virtual teams
  • An excellent communicator
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding organisational skills and juggle multiple projects simultaneously, with rigorous attention to detail
  • A self-starter who can hit the ground running and work with limited guidance and coaching and proactively develop and present potential solutions
  • A relentless problem-solver with a can do, positive attitude
  • Knowledge and are comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook 365, Adobe
  • An interest in football will be preferable but not essential
