Do you have a background of managing suppliers within an IT department? If so, then we would love to hear from you.

We have an opportunity to join our Application Maintenance team in Leeds. You will be responsible for managing a number of IT supplier relationships ensuring that they meet their contractual obligations and our business needs. You will work closely with our Service Management team as well as other stakeholders to co-ordinate various activities from service improvements through to service transition and support.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Maintain supplier contracts and monitor supplier performance against agreed contractual SLAs, collect performance data and investigate problems
  • Carry out regular reviews with the third party suppliers and participate in the contract and SLA risk assessments
  • Resolve problems through the relevant processes or escalate problems to the applications maintenance manager
  • Provide weekly status reports for the area
  • Maintain business priority tracker for planned BAU releases
  • Support the implementation of the supplier service improvement plans
  • Act as liaison between the Technology department or ASDA business and third party suppliers for operational issues
  • Work with both external vendor partners and business to plan the detail to change programmes. Co-ordinate within the team the change process and understand the impact and dependencies across the rest of the business.
  • Review & update 3 yr Capital Plans
  • Plan & manage the finances/Tracker for your team, meet our financial commitments and challenge revenue spend.
  • Raise and track purchase orders through the procurement system (SAP) and trackers for their assigned suppliers in line with the forecast.
  • Identify initiatives to lower operating costs and increase efficiency from IT suppliers – EDLC
  • Manage the Risk Framework for the Back Office & Customer Tower
  • Have a short-term view of key business activities and ensure plans are in place to maintain operational stability throughout - Maintain supplier roadmap
  • Create product roadmaps to ensure that applications remain up to date, supportable, and have capacity to satisfy future demand

  • About you:
    You’ll have experience of managing suppliers on an operational and commercial level along with excellent communication skills and MS office skills. Ideally you’ll have experience of using SAP to raise purchase order numbers, but full training will be provided. Any previous ITIL experience is also desirable, but not essential for the role.
