What's in store? Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be working across the full marketing mix to implement and develop marketing support for our bowling centre teams and implement tactical campaign activity to support the retail calendar and national marketing plan. Hollywood Bowl Group’s Marketing Assistant will proactively manage marketing information systems for the team, and support the execution of effective marketing campaigns, on HBG’s behalf to its customers and team members to achieve marketing’s goals and objectives. The key responsibilities of the Marketing Assistant include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Head of Marketing and Marketing Executives in the implementation of the national marketing plan and retail calendar
- Owning the marketing information system for the team, including keeping up-to-date and accurate information on centres and the systems they use
- Supporting Marketing Executives with implementation of marketing campaigns, including for key campaigns, key trading dates, local centre initiatives, centre investments
- Briefing designers to create marketing assets for campaigns, investments and across all product categories; Bowling, Food & Drink and Amusements & VR, and for a range of audiences and channels
- Planning across paid media channels e.g. social media, out of home (OOH), radio and press, POS and merchandising, content creation via external graphic designers and influencers/bloggers/vloggers
- Reporting on marketing activities to monitor and measure their effectiveness
- Supporting centre and regional teams with tactical marketing initiatives for attraction/engagement/retention of customers, administering requests from centres using marketing support systems
- Monitoring and keeping key systems updated, including online print and stock management ‘toolkit’ to meet the needs of centre team; update the centres digital screen clips CMS; update the image and assets management library
- Owning the maintenance of the marketing pages of the organisation’s intranet
- Accurately logging and coding marketing invoices
- Support the Marketing Executives with monitoring and timely replenishment of stock to support centres
- Support with internal communication of marketing initiatives
- Be an ambassador for the brand!
- Having a minimum of 1 year of marketing experience
- Having excellent MS Office skills; proficiency of PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Demonstrable organisation and time management experience
- Excellent rapport building skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Being a creator of positive energy for the team and organisation
- Being able to work autonomously, self-manage and prioritise tasks
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Evidence of copy writing and editing, Marketing asset development, and campaign management
- Preferably having leisure or hospitality industry exposure, although not essential
- Preferably undertaking a professional development programme, e.g. CIM or Marketing Degree, although not essential
