We are currently recruiting for a Duty Manager based in Hampshire, our leisure centre boasts of top of the range facilities including Gym, pools, Studios, Sports Hall, Squash Courts, , Health Suite, Cycling Studio, Café’s, Children’s play area and even Sauna and a Steam room

What your role will be

You will be responsible for all staff and customers within the centre and you will act as the main point of contact for any complaints or compliments, giving feedback to other managers and addressing these in a professional and efficient manner. On occasion there could be a maintenance issue that you may need to report to make sure that the centre adheres to both current Health and Safety Laws and Places for People Leisure standards.

Part of your new role will be assisting to cover holidays and sickness, so your role will vary from possibly covering the reception desk, or putting on your Chef’s whites and assisting in the kitchen.

Your background

Places for People Leisure’s vision is ‘to create active places and healthy people’ and we are looking for someone to share that passion with us. You will be managing a large team, so previous experience in a management capacity within a leisure facility would be advantageous, as may also de dealing with investigation meetings and disciplinary hearings.

As a Duty manager you will become one of our registered first aiders and therefore first aid experience, particularly with a defibrillator, would set you part from other candidates.  We are looking for candidates who have an NPLQ qualification.
