Merlin Entertainments are looking to transform the global finance community with the implementation of a brand new ERP system (NetSuite) alongside developing new ways of working.   This new role is a fantastic opportunity to build the training offering to both the global business & finance community and support the setup of a new Finance Hub (Shared Service Centre). 

We are therefore looking for an exceptional Trainer and digital professional, with proven skills in evaluating, designing and creating engaging and cost-effective training content and delivery plans.

You will work closely with the programme team, senior leadership stakeholders and the wider HR team to design & deliver training solutions for the Finance Hub.
You will also be required to carry out a full review of the end to end training within the organisation and provide detailed findings and solutions in order to support the businesses during the transformation programme.

The role will initially be based at our Programme office in Basingstoke and report into the Finance Business Transformation Director.  Fixed term 12 month contract.

Key Objectives in the first 90 days:

  • Assess training needs and requirements across relevant stakeholders within the Finance Hub & Phase 1 roll out sites, utilising process maps, change impact documentation and verbal discussions to formulate requirements. 
  • Work with the Finance Business Transformation Director & HR Director to develop the overall Programme Strategy.
  • You will have acted as a subject matter expert shaping NetSuite training material with core content being provided by our technical implementation partner, business change leads and the Finance 21 process leads.
  • You will have a training plan and roll out schedule integrated into the wider Project Plan
  • You will work with the HRD and wider Merlin L&D function to develop a programme of soft skills interventions to support both working and managing through change for a distinct audience group. You will create a suite of materials that can be used and maintained in the future and you will be instrumental in handing over into new work business as usual teams. 

??We are looking for the following skills and experience... 

  • Demonstrate experience in delivering similar training programmes relating to technology transformation. 
  • Ability to design and deploy various suitable training methods from face to face, on-the-job, e-learning, workshops & webinars.
  • Ability to create and manage delivery plan and associated resources.
  • Ability to create cost effective training approaches in line with company guidelines.
  • Experience of working in global organisations and of successfully engaging with multiple different countries and cultures.
  • We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join the Programme team and take a leading role in designing, delivering and evaluating an effective learning programme from induction through to senior level. 
  • Excellent experience dealing with senior level stakeholders and the ability to influence at a senior level 
    Experience of working within a Programme environment and transition over to BAU. 
  • Knowledge of best practice approaches to learning and development.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, results driven environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral MS Office - Including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Proven skills in Train the Trainer delivery.
  • Able to create own training material where required.
  • Trainer or L&D Advanced qualification.
