Children’s Activity Assistant | Tenterden Leisure Centre

Location: Tenterden Leisure Centre, Recreation Ground Rd, Tenterden, TN30 6RA

Working Hours: Casual

Salary: £6.15 to £8.25 per hour

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Tenterden Leisure Centre, as we are looking to recruit for a number of Casual Children’s Activity Assistants to work as and when required during school holidays, evenings and weekends.

Tenterden Leisure Centre offers a fantastic leisure pool with a range of leisure features including a flume, wave machine and bubble pool, twin pirate slide, tipping buckets, spray rails and treasure chest, which will keep younger swimmers entertained.

 

We also have a fully equipped fitness suite, a workout studio offering over 27 classes a week, a sports hall, crèche and cafe.

 

Purpose of Role

 

To provide clean, safe and properly supervised facilities for the children of customers to the Leisure Centre within the children’s activity department.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• The proper and safe supervision of children of all ages within the birthday parties 
• Provide clean and safe facilities
• To provide fun and energetic activities for children during parties.
• Provide a friendly and welcome service to customers and their children
• Maintain a full product knowledge of the services available at the Centre and advise customers accordingly
• Adopt a pro-active approach to continuous service improvement.
• To follow relevant company policies and procedures for the running of the birthday parties.
• To complete relevant safety checks on all birthday party equipment.

 

Skills, Experience:

 

Be experienced in working with children and in the delivery of fundamental games for movement or skills development.

 

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, resilient and be able to liaise professionally with parents, customers and other members of the workforce. They must be able to think on their feet and effectively communicate at all times and be willing to learn from others.

 

5 GCSE’s and first aid at work are desirable.
