Are you currently studying AAT and plan to carry on towards a professional qualification?  Are you looking for your next finance role where you can grow and develop within the team? We require a proactive and highly organised Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team based at our Merlin Business Support office in Chessington, Surrey. 

You will be an integral member of the financial accounts team, supporting and reporting to the Financial Accountant.  Initial key responsibilities will include:

  • Month end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Accruals & prepayments.
  • Assisting with the month and year end process.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and cost analysis & much more!

 

We are looking for the following skills and experience…

  • You are currently studying AAT, preferably already having passed Level 3.
  • Experience of working within a similar role, you’ll have with the ability to demonstrate core accounting and systems competencies and be results orientated.
  • Proven ability in reconciliations and cost analysis.
  • Ambition and desire to grow with a willingness to take ownership.
  • You’ll be confident with excellent communication skills; a great team player but able to work independently when required.
  • With strong time management skills you’ll be able to multi task and demonstrate a high level of accuracy in your work.
  • You will be customer focused and value the importance of providing a high quality service.
    Proficiency in Excel is essential and an experience with HFM and SAGE would be advantageous.
