Gymnastic/Sports Instructors - The Little Gym Harpenden

The Little Gym is the world’s leading motor skills development programme for children aged 4 months to 12 years.  The programme uses gymnastics as a tool for teaching children motor skills together with exclusive music and activities including balls and games to help enhance physical, emotional, perceptual, social and cognitive development.

Our classes are taught by rigorously trained staff with a love of children.  Our classes are designed to teach children in a safe but challenging, fun environment.  Children at The Little Gym are encouraged to develop individually in a non-competitive environment which will nurture self confidence leading to success in all aspects of future life.

The Little Gym Harpenden has been open for over 10 years and we are looking to grow the team. We are looking for a physically fit, energetic and enthusiastic team player.

Details of Position

We are looking for a part time instructor with excellent communication skills who will work flexible hours during weekdays and weekends.  There is also a possibility of moving into a full-time position at a later date.   The instructor will spend most of the time leading and assisting in curriculum based gymnastic classes to children aged 3-12 years.  The instructor will also be expected to talk to potential members and assist with the day to day routine of the gym.  The instructor will also assist in some birthday parties.

This could suit a local school attendee as the hours can work around school hours.  It could also suit someone studying or looking for part-time work.  For the right candidate there is potential for a career path to a full time job or onto the management team.

Qualifications

A background in sports is a plus and of course a love working with children. A good telephone manner and ability to communicate with parents would also be an advantage.
