The Grand Hotel have an exciting opportunity for a trained

Lifeguard

to join our busy Health Club team during the Summer months.

When you join us:

• You will be working in our busy Health Club with facilities including gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, crèche and beauty treatment rooms.
• You will be working as a lifeguard manning our outdoor pool area. The pool is open from Easter until the end of October so this would be a fixed term contract initially.
• The outdoor pool needs to be manned between 7am and 8pm so your shift times would be between these times.
• We are happy to be flexible with hours and days, however you would need to be available for the majority of the summer and all school holidays. Contracted hours between 16 and 40 hours per week are available - to be discussed at interview.
• There will also be other Health Club Assistant responsibilities to carry out when the swimming pool is quiet- these include general cleaning duties around pool side and preparing towels.
• This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is trained to earn money during the summer months, or it can possibly pave the way for a more permanent role at the Grand in the future.

What we need from you:

• A good command of the English language, both verbal and written. Must possess a Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding qualification - please state this on your application. To love what you do and possess the ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly in an emergency situation. Possess a 'can do' attitude, attention to detail and be able to use your own initiative. Enthusiasm and "service with a smile" is a must
