About the role…

As a Conference and Banqueting Manager you will be responsible for managing all Meetings and Events floor operations to deliver an excellent Guest experience. You will also be required to optimise sales and provide leadership, training, coaching and guidance to the team to ensure targets are met.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining exceptional levels of customer service whilst ensuring all company standards are delivered / met, review guest satisfaction levels to focus on continual improvement whilst achieving set targets. You’ll also be aware of trends within the industry to optimise our offering and sales.

You’ll communicate across all areas of the hotel to support the successful delivery of all events and have a good working relationship with suppliers. You’ll be responsible for ensuring staffing levels cover business demands, cost control, recruitment and selection, and ensure you and your team are trained in all required areas.

About you… 

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar role (preferably within a hotel) and be an individual with strong communication and customer service skills. You'll be friendly, welcoming and customer focussed. You will need to be energetic, well presented, enthusiastic, with a professional manner and the capability of prioritising your own workload. You’ll be self-motivated and contribute to the overall team performance.

You’ll also be flexible in your working pattern as this role will also include weekends, early starts, and late finishes.

The Cairn Group’s Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre is a modern hotel conveniently located near to the Birmingham New Street train station.
The hotel is within an easy walk of the great bars and restaurants found in the Arcadian complex, as well as both the Hippodrome and New Alexandra theatres, Birmingham’s China Town district, The Mailbox shopping centre and the Bullring commercial area.
