Programme Planner – 18 Months Fixed Term

Do you have a strong background as a Programme Planner and interested in working on a large exciting programme? If so, then we would love to hear from you.

You’ll report into the Programme PMO function, the Programme Planner monitors and controls the wide range of delivery plans within our programme of work, ensuring that each of these extensive and complex pieces of work runs smoothly and efficiently.

Whilst this is an 18 month fixed term contract, our Technology team is expanding every year and you could be presented with a number of opportunities along the way.

What you’ll be responsible for:Ensure all workstream plans brick up to the overall Level 2 and Level 1 Programme PlansChallenging project managers where projects veer from plan and the inter-dependencies with other projects are likely to be effected - escalate concerns, as appropriateRun forward planning workshops on a regular basis to drive cross stream alignment and identify gaps within the plansGain a full understanding of the programme deliverables and identifying lead time considerations to ensure realistic plans can be developedWork across the team to promote working to deliverables and ensuring sign off where contractually committedSupport the enabling workstreams in the actual creation and maintenance of their plansMonitor and challenge 3rd party plans and planning processesManage Internal Programme Dependencies across the Foundation Teams, over the 2 releasesIdentify and track external dependencies, providing Programme representation on external project boards and communicationsSupport with other PMO activities where requiredEnsure compliance to the Quality Assurance FrameworkAbout you:
You’ll have expertise in Microsoft Project and a good understanding of the wider Project Management methodology. Strong experience in management, planning or delivery of large projects.

Previous experience within a retail environment would be desirable along with and IT Project Management (PMI / Prince 2 or equivalent) qualification and experience within SAP. Please note that this is highly desirable and not essential.
