JobSummary

  • Assistin supplying the highest possible standard of food to our guests at all times

  • Ensure that you have full product knowledge ofall menu items and their service

  • To assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the organizationand controlling of all kitchen operations

  • Capable of taking charge of any section in thekitchen and running it competently

  • Assist with menu compilation, payroll control andfood delivery

  • To ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy at alltimes.

Additional Duties
Preparespecial meals or substitute items. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers,grills, and roasters. Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in therefrigerator. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish. Maintainfood logs. Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.Communicate assistance needed during busy periods. Inform Chef of excess fooditems for use in daily specials. Inform F&B service staff of 86'ed itemsand available menu specials. Ensure the quality of the food items. Prepare andcook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, andfood preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods. Assist management in hiring,training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, and motivating andcoaching employees; serve as a role model.

Followall company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenanceneeds, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; completesafety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance areclean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information;protect company assets. Anticipate and address guests' service needs. Speakwith others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintainpositive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals;listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensureadherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for anextended period of time. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending,twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and placeobjects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Performother reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
