About us

The Sennocke Centre is a multi-million pound sports venue at Sevenoaks School.  It is complemented by outlying pitches and hard courts, athletics track, astro pitches and pavilions. The facilities are built and maintained to the highest specification, enabling athletes and players to maximise their performance whilst actively reducing impact on the body and limiting injury. For this reason we have been recognised for providing excellent training and High Performance facilities.

About the role

The purpose of the role is to manage (as part of a team) the day to day running of a fully operational Sports Club with specific emphasis on the gym.

The role reports to the Operations Manager who will rely on you for technical support and guidance in your field of expertise.   You will lead on all fitness related projects, programming and staffing.  You will foster a sales mentality and promote professional standards to staff and ensure they have the confidence and pride to promote our services.

We are seeking a person with excellent interpersonal skills with a fundamental understanding of sales, marketing, customer service and financial principles.  The ideal candidate will have REPs Fitness Instructor (level 4, with specialism), previous success in a managerial role, be dynamic and engaging with a can do attitude. 

In summary to role will also have responsibility for the following:

  • Maintaining the building and equipment to an excellent standard.
  • To understand, promote and deliver all aspects of the fitness and studio programmes across the centre.
  • To supervise and motivate employees to optimise opportunities and maintain high delivery standards.
  • To increase use of the fitness facilities and retention.
  • Deliver classes and 121 instruction (including supervision in wet & dry areas as required) and individual training programmes.
