The Role

• Operational tasks including the responsibility of being a key holder, opening and closing the building.
• Taking responsibility for the smooth running of the Centre
• Delivering fitness classes, coaching and other activities inherent with the Centre’s programme
• Personally ensuring that equipment is at first class standards in both safety and cleanliness at all times.
• Ensuring that Health & Safety standards are managed and met, ensuring the comfort and safety of customers and colleagues.
• Working with the team to help us achieve our Vision 2020 of Enhancing our Community through the provision of First Class Sport and Leisure Opportunities.
• Taking payments and managing transactions/book keeping.
• Answering queries over the phone, via email, and face to face from customers walking in
• Arranging bookings for various activities at the centre and managing the booking system.

The Person we are looking for

• Committed to providing a First Class Customer Service
• Enthusiastic and friendly
• Confident in dealing with a diverse community in a polite and professional manner
• Able to cope under pressure
• Have excellent communication and sales skills
• Be proactive in increasing participation
• Have great time management and be organised with work demands

Our successful candidate will hold at least a level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification as a minimum. Ideally you will be first aid qualified, though this can be provided if you are the right person.

Working hours: 10.5 hours per week

Salary: Hourly rate between £8.48 – £8.88
