Here's a snapshot of the role and its key responsibilities:

Our Head Bartenders are responsible for delivering the highest standard of food and beverages to all our customers, to ensure guest satisfaction. Other duties include:

  • Managing the recording of wastage & spillage on a shift basis
  • Manage stocking levels and ensure team members are following the right procedures
  • Manage dry goods orders, holding levels costing & consumption (bar snacks, caster sugar, cherries, etc)
  • Implementing the Salon & Bars Manager’s ethos and standards and bring the rest of the team to that standard
  • Assist with the training of F&B staff and delivering product knowledge for table service
  • Compile recipes and costing for classic cocktails, to compile glossaries & cheat sheets and upkeep of them, to provide bar team with accurate and up to date ingredients, liaising with Salon & Bars Manager & Cost Controller
  • Liaise with Brands regarding Brand specific training & competitions
  • Show willingness to help guests and go the extra mile and act as an ambassador for your own department when in other areas of the Hotel
  • Demonstrate flexibility in terms of working hours
  • Understand fully and comply with all Fire, Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Company rules and regulations

What you’ll need to succeed in this role?!

Ideally, you will:

  • Have experience in large, busy, and ideally 4*+ bar environments
  • Have already led and managed a team and really understand how to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Be Retail Liquor Licence trained
  • Hold a degree in Hospitality/Management, but most importantly be passionate about truly excellent customer service.
