Head Waiter / Restaurant Supervisor, The Summerhouse - London
Target earning between £25,000 - £30,000
Our venues range from The Waterway; a stunning riverside setting with a bustling terrace and child-friendly atmosphere, to the relaxing Hamptons beach house feel of The Summerhouse overlooking the Canal in Little Venice and boasting a variety of seafood and holiday inspired dishes from around the globe.
First Restaurant Group is currently recruiting Head Waiter or Waitress / Restaurant Supervisor with a background in high level establishments and someone who is talented, creative and has a real passion for Hospitality.
As our Restaurant Supervisor you will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations.
As our Restaurant Supervisor you will;
- Ensure that the highest level of customer service is provided and maintained at all times
- Anticipate and attend to the guest’s needs and desires immediately
- Allocate jobs and 'stations' checking that tasks have been completed before, during and after service periods
- Check that the restaurant is cleaned and fully prepared for service, checking table layouts, buffets, special displays etc
- Assist with greeting, seating and order taking. Help guests with the selection of menu items and wine requirements
- Promote the menu and 'special offers' ensuring maximum possible revenue is achieved
- Help with organising and running of special events. (e.g. weddings/ private dinners)
- Assist with staff training; departmental inductions, job skills, safety, statutory requirements and development
The Ideal Restaurant Supervisor will;
- Have experience of working within a similar operation, ideally in a fast placed environment
- Be smart and professional in appearance with a "can do" attitude and excellent communication skills
- Have a passion and commitment to customer service
- Well organised and structured in your approach
- Confident personality with presence
- Forward Thinking
