Job Summary

  • Responsible for the compliance of all work flows within thehotel area with the agreed regulations regarding security, health, hygiene andenvironment (USPH/HACCP, ISM/&ISO, SQM, Service standards), with specialregard to foodstuffs storing and processing, in close cooperation with the the HotelManager and the Deck & Engine Department
  • Ensure adherence to the standards laid out in the "Environmental Compliance Plan (Save the Waves)" within the hotel area
  • Close cooperation with the Hotel Manager, including regular reporting, immediate corrective action and reporting in case of interruptions and malfunctions of the work flow; with special regard to Galley equipment
  • Demonstrate presence during main service hours
  • Support at and participation in all Public Health Inspections, together with Hotel Manager
  • Responsible for the strict adherence to all regulationsregarding temperature, dish wash, pot wash und cleaning logs
  • Responsible for the strict adherence to all regulations regarding cleaning utensils and chemicals on board
  • Sanitation trainings for new crew and staff as well asrefreshment courses for the whole crew
  • Administrative work
  • Implementation of supervision tools fort he Department Heads
  • Checking and implementation of quality standards within his/her work area
    • Always aim at continuous improvement, especially with regard to SOPs and Manuals

Qualification/Experience

  • Certified qualified training in Hygiene or Sanitation management or at least 3 years of job experience in a comparable function
  • At least 5 years of job experience, if possible on board acruise vessel
  • Documented job-related continuing education
  • Qualified training as a lecturer/trainer
  • In-depth knowledge of all relevant health and hygiene regulations
  • Managerial skills, distinct economical thinking
  • Business fluent in written English, German is an advantage
  • Good IT knowledge, especially in MS Office
  • Good educational background
