Salary

£22,000 to £23,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

 Permanent contract - 39 hours per week (Monday - Friday 9am–5pm with flexibility required to do rota’d weekend working and possibility of some on-call.

Job Description

A position has arisen, based at its Distribution Centre in Kettering, for a Supply Chain Distribution Requirements Planner within a leading FMCG organisation, responsible for development of distribution plans & associated production requirements from factories to end-markets, ensuring sufficient inventory available to meet customer demands throughout network, including new product launches & promotional campaigns.

 

ROLE:

  • As Distribution Requirements Planner within this leading FMCG, currently driving significant change and development across Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for:
  • Delivering finished goods replenishment plans by calculating replenishment requirements across all levels of primary supply chain, on weekly basis, based on demand plans.
  • Maintaining finished goods stock levels across consolidation warehouse as per inventory policies set for storage location / SKU.
  • Create distribution model & deployment plans for new / adjusted product launches / promo campaigns are set.
  • Analysing tolerances for supply alerts.
  • Ensuring availability of timely & accurate information of replenishment requirements & deployment plans for rest of weekly planning processes.
  • Contributing to regular reviews of inventory policies for finished goods, and at storage location / SKU level.
  • Identifying potential inventory liabilities / issues & escalate for resolution.
  • Ensuring distribution plans provides high product availability whilst maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Preparing reports on Inventory planning data.
  • Maintaining relevant planning data in SAP to facilitate accurate planning.
  • Aligning distribution plans across Demand Function, and be aware of all product requirements - ensuring smooth transition during project changes.
  • DRP (Distribution Requirements Planner) representative for key end markets - preparing overviews of plans to provide forward visibility to key functions within supply chain, working across numerous cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborating with Supply Chain planning team - ensuring transparent planning information flow.
  • Escalating supply issues to end market supply / distribution planners.

Skills

  • Demonstrable experience within Supply Chain Planning, preferably across Distribution
  • Industry experience within an FMCG organisation highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain management process, including: procurement and planning with a sound appreciation of Best Practice
  • Strong analytical, planning, communication and influencing skills
  • Strong system knowledge (SAP, Excel)
  • Have the ability to make and take responsibility for day-to-day decisions
  • Be adaptable, flexible and self-motivated  to achieve targets
  • Be a completer finisher
