Visual Merchandiser - Wyevale Garden Centre - Hare Hatch, Reading

Hours: 39 hours per week

We have a wonderful opportunity for an in-store Visual Merchandiser to join Wyevale Garden Centres, the UK’s leading gardening retailer.

Job Profile:

As a Visual Merchandiser you will deliver inspiring layouts and displays in line with the visual merchandising strategy, creating inspirational shopping experiences for our customers.

Key job contributions include:

• Inspires and engages Garden Centre teams to deliver inspirational shopping environments
• Ensure all stock is merchandised in accordance with the brands standards
• Supports the teams to deliver a great customer journey, outstanding retail standards, delivery of product and inspirational displays
• Creates an inspirational shopping environments through displays of product
• Supports with new store re-fits and ensures correct placement of POS and promotional material
• Supports Centre Manager and Regional Visual Merchandiser Managers in driving commercial sales, ATV and conversion
• Assists with the training and development of all store employees on product knowledge
• Carries out regular and appropriate floor moves
• Keeps up to date on comprehensive knowledge of the local market and competitor activities.

Personal Specifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the retail sector
• In-store multi-product visual merchandising experience 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritise workload and planning skills
• Demonstrate good commercial awareness
• Attention to detail
• Someone who will really fit into the Wyevale Garden Centres culture and enjoy the values that are held as important by the company

Please Note: The role of Visual Merchandiser is predominantly Monday to Friday, however during the lead up to our peak season, or special events, adhoc weekend work will be required to ensure the centre is ready for our customers.
