Medical Centre Receptionist/Administrator - Harrow School

Permanent, term time only, 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday

Circa £19,000 p.a.

Harrow School is one of the world’s most famous schools. Founded in 1572 by a local yeoman farmer, John Lyon, under a Royal Charter granted by Queen Elizabeth I, it is located on a 324-acre estate encompassing much of Harrow on the Hill in north-west London. Around 830 boys aged 13 to 18, who come from all over Britain and across the world, live in the School’s 12 boarding houses.

The School’s Medical Centre is open 24/7 and provides a comprehensive healthcare service for the boys.

The Receptionist/Administrator will be the first point of contact for boys and other visitors coming to the Medical Centre. The role will also support the efficient running of the centre by providing full administrative and secretarial support to the Practice Manager and Clinical Manager.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, experience of working in a health care/customer service/reception environment, be enthusiastic and a willing team player. Candidates should also possess strong IT skills and demonstrable knowledge of office procedures.

Salary: circa £19,000 p.a. (full-time equivalent circa £24,500 p.a.) depending on experience.
