. The Langham, London is currently looking to recruit a Senior Sales Manager for China and Asia markets. This is a 12-month maternity cover contract.  Reporting to the Director of Sales - Travel Industry, your responsibilities will include:

Total account management – focusing on FIT and group rooms revenue and catering revenue;

Identifying and developing international markets with a focus on high-end leisure;

Undertaking sales trips within assigned territory as required, upholding the corporate travel policy in line with travel budgets;

Effective handling of incoming sales enquiries for VIP parties and groups within the assigned territory in accordance with our standards, and maximising booking conversion opportunities by deploying effective sales and negotiation techniques;

Attending trade shows and industry events as required and building relationships with industry partners such as airlines.

Requirement . Do you have:

experience in a fast-paced pro-active sales role within the luxury hospitality industry?

excellent communication skills in Mandarin as well as English?

knowledge of Chinese/Asian culture in a business context? 

This role also requires excellent negotiation and business communication skills, as well as the ability to build rapport and communicate with a variety of individuals at all levels. A proven ability to prospect for new business is essential, as is maintaining and ‘farming’ existing accounts.
