What you'll do
  • Carry out daily Laundry shift operations and ensures compliance with all policies, standards and procedures.
  • Performs hourly job functions as necessary.
  • Ensures stock of linen pars.
  • Analyses all discards of stained and torn linen.
  • Determines items that can be salvaged. Maintains records of discarded linen.
  • Operates all department equipment as necessary and reports malfunctions.
  • Meet operational needs and financial objectives are met.
  • Effectively implements new techniques, supplies and equipment.
  • Works effectively with the Engineering department on Laundry equipment maintenance needs.
  • Awareness of energy conservation efforts and monitors compliance with procedures.
  • Understands and complies with loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Supports a departmental orientation program for associates to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.
  • To Ensures the job holder is cross-trained to support successful daily operations within housekeeping.
  • Moving of linen around the hotel
  • Providing support where required to room attendants

    This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing,sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional demeanour,clear communication and appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
