About the Role:

We are looking for either an experienced Commis Chef or someone looking to train as a Commis Chef who we can develop. The job holder will work in all areas of the kitchen under supervision and will learn a range of skills and tasks. We are looking for a hard working individual who is full of energy, has a passion for food, and is a team player.

Main Responsibilities of a Commis Chef:

• Work in any area of the kitchen as requested.
• Carry out food preparation in any area – as requested.
• Ensure that all work areas are kept clean, tidy and rubbish free at all times.
• Use equipment as shown, safely and in accordance with health and safety procedures.

Special Requirements of a Commis Chef:

• Be willing to undertake training and/or to work towards a formal qualification.
• Attain a basic food hygiene certificate.
• Be able to work flexibly – working shifts, occasional weekends, bank holidays - rota basis.
• Have the means of transport to reach the hotel and report to work on time (please note that some of our hotels are in quite remote locations)
