Catering Supervisor - Oxford College

23 hours per week

£17,000 - £19,000 per annum + PART TIME PLUS BENEFITS

I am on the hunt for a Part Time Catering Supervisor to work in an Oxford College in Oxford City Centre. This Catering Supervisor would be responsible for the delivery of all student meals and will assist the Butlers in formal hall dinners and other events also.

The food served here is of exceptional quality catering for a wide range of tastes. They not only cater for students, but conferences and weddings too.

Some of your responsibilities as Catering Supervisor would include:

  • To ensure that breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner in the Hall are served and appropriately serviced during term time.
  • To manage functions efficiently in the absence of the Butlers.
  • To assist in running College Feasts, Gaudies, Reunions and other special dinners in the Hall or in any of the other College function rooms.
  • To be responsible for formal setting of tables and ensuring that the correct service is provided.
  • Effective Supervision of all casual staff whilst on duty ensuring clear instructions are given.
  • Ensure compliance with the College's health and safety policy and food hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with the College's food allergy policy for all catering events and liaise with the kitchen staff as required.
  • To operate the Servery checkout (cashless system) for student meals.
  • Maintain records of relevant areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure that high standards of personal hygiene and presentation are adhered to at all times including the wearing of College uniform and PPE.

Do you have excellent customer service skills, good communication and the ability to keep calm under pressure? You may be the person I need for the job! The Part Time Catering Manager will be contracted to 23 hours per week on a rota basis with a variety of shifts including straight and occasional split shifts.

Salary on offer is £17,079 to £19,202 per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience. Advancement up the scale is based on merit.

I look forward to hearing from you.
