Kingsdale Group manages property on behalf of private residential leaseholders. We now manage some 2,200 units on over 50 developments throughout England, of which over 1,600 properties are managed on behalf of retired home-owners.

The Bridges is a new luxury retirement development comprising of 62 apartments on the banks of the Macclesfield Canal. There are lovely communal areas including a restaurant, Owners lounge with patio area, activities studio, spa and therapy room and hairdressing salon. The Bridges is located just off the A537 with great links to the A523.

What will this role of Duty Manager entail?

As a Duty Manager you’ll direct and supervise the work of General Assistants and Cooks to ensure the smooth running of all of the day to day functions of The Bridges. All members of staff have a responsibility for developing a good community spirit throughout The Bridges and to help owners lead as fulfilling a personal and social life as they wish.

You’ll work closely with owners to assess their requirements for tasks such as domestic cleaning, local shopping and laundry and ironing and then allocating appropriate General Assistant time accordingly.

You’ll consult with the General Manager and Cooks to make sure that the weekly menus provide varied and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks, and that all meals and refreshments are served to professional standards.

What will I receive in return?

As a Duty Manager of The Bridges, you’ll receive a base salary of £20,020 (pro rata, equivalent to £11,668, or £11 per hour), along with an enhanced pension scheme.

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working part time on average 20.4 hours per week between the hours of 7:00am and 9:00pm, on a 7-day, five-week rota which includes weekends and Bank Holidays.

Any Bank Holiday work will be paid at double time and covering sickness or absence of co-workers will be paid at an enhanced hourly rate of £12.33.

You will work a shift rota and sleepover twice a week on average, for which an additional allowance of £50 per night is paid. Your total annual earnings for this part time hours contract with all the above factored in, can be expected to be in the region of £17,000.

What will I need to be considered for this Duty Manager role?

  • Ability to remain calm in an ever-changing environment
  • Passion for delivering the highest standards of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
