Leisure Assistant - Dryside - Shrewsbury Sports Village

Part Time - 18.5 Hours per week

£6.15-£8.50 per hour + Excellent Benefits

Shrewsbury Sports Village are seeking a Leisure Assistant to assist, monitor and supervise customers in recreational activities at Shrewsbury Sports Village, the role will require the successful applicant to work on a casual hours contract which will be on a as and when basis. Shifts will be working evenings and weekends.

As the Leisure Assistant you will have specific responsibilities for providing clean and safe recreational facilities and activities and for ensuring that customers enjoy themselves. The main purpose of the role is to work within the leisure area of the centre where you will provide support and safety for various age groups covering all kinds of leisure based activities.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clean, safe, warm, friendly and fun facilities and activities
• Provide a friendly and welcome service to all customers
• Maintain a full product knowledge of the services available at the centre and advise customers accordingly

Essential Skills

• Leisure Centre experience (Desirable)
• Good customer care skills
• Good communication skills
• Health & Safety training/awareness
• The ability to deal with customers of all age groups and levels of ability
