Operations Manager - Rugby School Sports Centre​

Rugby School Sports Centre boast impressive facilities both indoors and outdoors which are available for public use as well as school use. Facilities include swimming pool, 2 sports hall, Fitness Suite, 3 astro-turf pitches and Squash Courts.

The sports centre are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join their current team. You will need to have a passion for sport and leisure, with experience in working in a leisure environment. You will need to be well organized under pressure, full of initiative with excellent knowledge of both wet and dry side activities.

Your role will include inspiring & motivating the centres teams to deliver operational efficiency at all times ensuring a great member journey beyond expectations. Managing safety, standards and service, whilst ensuring a good working use of all facilities. Line management & motivation of the operational teams; including recruitment, training, development & performance management, as well as rotas, payroll and day to day management. You will also be responsible for NPLQ training and NPLQ course delivery. You will be required to proactively seek member feedback and resolving any issues in a positive manner. Overall supporting the Centre Manager in key areas and deputising in their absence.

The role is full time and will require flexibility to suit the needs of the business. To will include varied working hours from 06:45am starts to 10:15pm lates, working 5 days over 7 and completing Duty Officer shifts personally 2-3 times a week.

Previous experience of working in a sports centre as an Operations Manager or line management responsibilities is essential. You do require an NPLQ, FAW and a RLSS Trainer Assessor certificate.
