Director of Engineering (UK & Europe) - The Hoxton London

We are currently looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our maintenance team in the overall maintenance, safety and security of the existing hotels and be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of the upcoming properties across UK & Europe.

You’ll be an essential part in supporting the continued fast growth of The Hoxton, which has now opened its doors in two locations in London, one in Amsterdam and one in Paris – and we’re far from done. The Hoxton, Southwark is set to open in summer of 2019 and we have exciting plans to keep introducing the brand to more neighbourhoods across Europe in the next few years.

What you’ll do…

• Set and implement a maintenance strategy for our existing & future hotels and restaurants, ensuring the integrity of our product
• Be the specialist to the business for all property, building, maintenance and engineering, security, legislative Health and Safety requirements
• Lead our maintenance teams in their partnership to our Hotel and Restaurant & Bar teams when it comes to maintenance programmes
• Manage a team of engineers by creating an environment where they feel empowered and supported, confident in their ability and able to be themselves

What we’re looking for…

• 5+ years’ experience in Maintenance Management within the hospitality industry
• Someone who’s able to see both the big picture and the day-to-day detail, can connect the two and combine consistency with flexibility
• A natural at leading and managing others, you lead by example and understand that our success is ultimately due to our brilliant teams
