Gym Instructor- Basingstoke

Basingstoke Sports Trust is looking to recruit Gym instructors for our state of the art gyms Evolve, our Mixed Gym and Shape our Ladies only Gym.

You will get to engage with our customers on the gym floor, conduct inductions, health checks and develop programmes to help our customers understand the benefits of leading healthy lifestyles. You will be enthusiastic, a great team player, professional, self-motivated and have excellent organisational skills to offer the best service to our customers and members. 

You will play an important role in helping to organise and attend events and will bring your passion to help support our customers work towards their fitness goals. There may also be the opportunity to work with our Health and Wellbeing team to promote our Active in Health programmes and assist with consultations as required.

We have a number of shifts available across the week in both gyms including weekdays and at the weekends and will be happy to consider full time or part time hours. As our Shape gym has over 700 female members there is a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 to consider female applicants only for hours in Shape.

Basingstoke Sports Centre boasts a membership of over 5,300 and is one of the largest single site memberships in the Country, we’re proud of what we have achieved and are always looking to improve.  We have invested nearly £500,000 refurbishing our Evolve mixed gym and have added additional kit to both our gyms. We’ve been finalists in the ukactive Flame Awards two years running and won awards for our National Fitness Day contributions.
