Job Purpose:

To provide and maintain a cleaning / domestic service in the offices / non-clincial areas, ensuring at all times the highest levels of cleanliness and safety, in additon to providing a pleasant environment. With the Portering side you will be providing a high quality multi-task portering service to patients, clients and visitors of the Hospital/Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain the work area in line with work schedules and in an efficient manner, ensuring a safe environment for all
• Ensure chemicals are used correctly, in line with the COSHH procedure
• Follow 'best practice' procedures associated with cleaning and control of infection
• Provide timely collections of Hospital waste and laundry from around the hospital site
• To operate wheelchairs, trolleys, beds and bed pushers in order to perform duties in a safe and purposeful manner
• To work as part of a team to convey patients and equipment around the hospital site in a friendly and purposeful manner
• Deliver post as per daily schedules and to deliver drugs as per schedule
• Collect and/or deliver furniture and stores equipment as requested

• Receptive to change
• Good standard of general education
